Retaining Character While Saving the Planet
When Yvon Chouinard founded Patagonia, it originated out of the back of his car where he made tools for climbers. With humble beginnings, it's grown into one of the most recognizable lifestyle brands that specializes in outdoor apparel and gear for activities such as, climbing, skiing, fly fishing, back packing, surfing etc.
Whether it's environmental grantmaking, supply chain transparency, employee activism and advocacy, sustainable materials or their Worn Ware Program, Patagonia is the leader of businesses working to leave the world a better place than they found it.
Epoch was asked to bring this same mentality to Patagonia’s retail stores, where we support the brand with design development and implementation throughout North America. Patagonia celebrates the history of existing buildings to retain as much of the existing character while producing stores with as little environmental impact as possible.
